It is with profound sadness that the Escazú Agreement Secretariat learned of the early passing of the Honourable Vaughn Miller, Minister of the Environment and Natural Resources of the Bahamas and a dear friend of the Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC).
In this bitter hour, we convey our deepest condolences and solidarity to his family and loved ones and to the Government and people of the Bahamas, whom he proudly served.
Minister Miller will remain a source of inspiration for us all as we seek to achieve a more sustainable, inclusive and productive region, with environmental stewardship at the core.
