This high-level regional event will serve as a key platform to foster synergies among those working on water-related issues across countries in the region. It aims to promote the follow-up on commitments made in the Regional Water Action Agenda (adopted in 2023) and to strengthen the implementation of Sustainable Development Goal 6 (SDG 6): Ensure availability and sustainable management of water and sanitation for all.

The Regional Water Week - Santiago, Chile 2025, through its various events, seeks to enhance the technical, institutional, and financial capacities of countries by facilitating the exchange of information, experiences, and best practices, while also encouraging dialogue among the region’s water authorities.

Participation is expected from representatives of governments, international organizations, the private sector, civil society, Indigenous communities, academia, and youth, creating a collaborative environment to advance concrete solutions to improve sustainable water management.

Additionally, this forum aims to drive regional alignment and commitments in the lead-up to COP30 in Brazil, the 2026 United Nations Water Conference, and other high-level international forums related to water management and investment.

Registration and Participation Modality

As each day of the event will address different themes and target audiences within the water sector in Latin America and the Caribbean, registration must be completed separately for each of the events of the week.

Individuals interested in virtual participation may register for the specific events that align with their interests.

In-person attendance will be by invitation only, although a special application process will be available for representatives of civil society and other stakeholder groups. Each registration form will be independent and mandatory in order to access the corresponding sessions.
