Water Sustainability Network and Observatory

The Water Sustainability Network and Observatory (ROSA) is an initiative led by the Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC) aimed at strengthening the capacities of countries in the region in the field of water management, within a context of hydrological variability and financial constraints. Although the region possesses abundant water resources, their distribution is uneven, and many countries lack the technical, institutional, and financial capacities for sustainable management. As a result, through knowledge exchange, the generation of reliable data, and the promotion of inclusive public policies, ROSA seeks to accelerate progress toward SDG 6 on clean water and sanitation, by fostering collaborative solutions in response to the region’s growing water-related challenges.
