The seventh meeting of the Forum of the Countries of Latin America and the Caribbean on Sustainable Development will take place April 15-18 at the central headquarters of the Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC) in Santiago, Chile. The purpose of the meeting is to analyze progress and challenges for fulfilling the 2030 Agenda in the region.
High-level authorities will attend, including Amina Mohammed, Deputy Secretary-General of the United Nations; José Manuel Salazar-Xirinachs, ECLAC’s Executive Secretary, and a representative of the country serving as Vice-Chair of the Forum of the Countries of Latin America and the Caribbean on Sustainable Development.
Participants will include representatives of government from all 33 region’s countries, the United Nations agencies, programmes and funds, international financial institutions and development banks, regional and sub-regional integration organizations, civil society, the parliamentary world, academia, and the private sector from the region.
