Climate Change Impacts on Latin America and Peru to Be Presented in Lima

ECLAC and the Government of Peru will hold a press conference on Wednesday 10 December during the COP 20 being held in the capital of that country.

The Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC) and the Ministry of Environment of the Government of Peru will present on 10 December the results of the studies on the economics of climate change in Latin America and Peru, during a press conference being held in Lima in the framework of the COP 20 meetings.

The presentation will take place at 4:30 p.m. in the Press Conference Room N° 1 of the headquarters of the 20th session of the Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP 20).

The press conference will be presided by ECLAC’s Executive Secretary, Alicia Bárcena, and Peru’s Minister of Environment, Manuel Pulgar-Vidal.

The studies identify how climate change will affect the well-being and production of the analyzed countries, including the impact in some specific economic activity sectors.
