The COP 4 of Latin America and the Caribbean’s first environmental treaty will take place in Nassau, Bahamas. It will bring together on April 21-24 authorities from the region’s countries, representatives of regional and international organizations and members of the public.

The 2026 edition of this gathering will take place on October 28-30, 2026 in Mexico City.

At a press conference next Wednesday, November 26, José Manuel Salazar-Xirinachs, the United Nations regional organization’s Executive Secretary, will present updated figures on poverty, inequality and social spending in the region.
