The applications process for the sixteenth session of the Summer School on Latin American Economies began on Monday, February 23. The training program is organized annually by the Division of Production, Productivity and Management of the Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC), and it is aimed at young researchers interested in studying the Latin American development process. Between 1990 and 2011, Central America and the Dominican Republic posted an average annual growth rate of 4.6%, which was higher than the figure of 3.2% for Latin America as a whole.
