The EUROCLIMA+ Programme of the European Union, the German International Cooperation Agency (GIZ), the Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC), AVINA Foundation and LEDS LAC invite attendees to the United Nations Conference on Climate Change (COP24) to be held in Katowice, Poland, to participate in the side event "Advances and challenges in the implementation of NDC in Latin America: how to increase ambition in the region", which will take place in room E #22 of the NDC Partnership pavilion at the COP24 venue, on Saturday, December 8 at 9:00 AM.
This meeting will present the state of implementation of the NDC in Latin America and the Caribbean through the experience of countries and of agencies that provide technical support to governments for the fulfillment of the commitments to the United Nations Framework on Climate Change.
The event is part of the "Dialogue among peers to promote the implementation of their NDC" initiative developed by ECLAC and GIZ in its role as implementing agencies of the EUROCLIMA+ Programme and the Climate Governance component, with the support of AVINA Foundation, LEDS LAC and NDC Partnership.
On the other hand, the second side event of EUROCLIMA+ at COP24 is entitled "EUROCLIMA+ in action: Promoting the sustainable modality with local actors in Latin America" and will be held at 10:30 AM in the Brussels lounge of the European pavilion.
