En la 61ª Reunión de la Mesa Directiva, las delegaciones intercambiaron sobre los preparativos de la XV Conferencia Regional sobre la Mujer de América Latina y el Caribe, incluido el debate sobre los temas que en ella se trataron.
Además, se intercambió sobre la importancia de una sociedad del cuidado para impulsar una recuperación con igualdad de género y sostenibilidad, y se informó sobre los avances de la Alianza Regional para la Digitalización de las Mujeres en América Latina y el Caribe y del Fondo Regional de Apoyo a Organizaciones y Movimientos de Mujeres y Feministas, entre otros asuntos.
Esta Reunión fue organizada por la CEPAL como Secretaría de la Conferencia, en coordinación con la Entidad de las Naciones Unidas para la Igualdad de Género y el Empoderamiento de las Mujeres (ONU-Mujeres).
La Conferencia Regional sobre la Mujer de América Latina y el Caribe es un órgano subsidiario de la Comisión Económica para América Latina y el Caribe (CEPAL) y es el principal foro intergubernamental sobre los derechos de las mujeres y la igualdad de género en la región.
