Panel discussion "The fundamental role of women and gender mainstreaming in the implementation of the Escazú Agreement"
The Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC), in conjunction with the Secretariat of Foreign Affairs of Mexico, invites you to participate in the panel discussion "The fundamental role of women and gender mainstreaming in the implementation of the Escazú Agreement" to be held on Thursday 25 April 2024, at 16:00 (Chile time, GMT-4), on the occasion of the Third meeting of the Conference of the Parties to the Escazú Agreement (Santiago, 22-24 April 2024).
The event will be held in person at the Celso Furtado Conference Room at ECLAC headquarters in Santiago, Chile. Additionally, the event will be broadcast live at https://live.cepal.org/escazu/ and will provide English-Spanish interpretation.
During the Third meeting of the Conference of the Parties to the Escazú Agreement, the Draft decision on mainstreaming the gender perspective, the Draft decision on the action plan on human rights defenders in environmental matters in Latin America and the Caribbean, and the Draft decision on national implementation will be reviewed.
