The Interregional Workshop on Tools for the Dissemination of Geospatially Enabled Statistical Data, organized by ECLAC, was held in Santiago from November 11 to 13, 2025, and brought together representatives of the national statistical institutes of Argentina, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Paraguay and the Dominican Republic, along with specialists from ECLAC's Statistics Division.
For three days, experiences on the implementation of statistical geoportals and the use of the Global Statistical Geospatial Framework (GSGF) were presented, addressing topics such as the integration of qualitative and geospatial information, the use of data dissemination technologies, and interoperability between systems.
The program included the presentation of national cases, technical sessions on statistical-geospatial linkage tools and methodologies, and round tables aimed at identifying challenges, good practices and opportunities for regional cooperation to strengthen the dissemination capacities of official data in geospatial environments.
