Achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) requires rapid technological innovations and timely data collection, access, and use. However, the data revolution also raises questions around power, privacy, and participation. Common spirit, dialogue, and advocacy are needed to drive progress on global goals. That is exactly what the 2023 Data Festival is all about.
The event will also aim to provide spaces for collaboration and cooperation, where many aspects of data in our societies will be showcased so that together we can advocate for well-funded, inclusive, coherent, and impactful information systems that improve people's lives.
