ECLAC and ten international organizations signed an agreement to formalize a framework of collaboration and to facilitate cooperation in support of the implementation and follow-up of the mandates of the Summits of the Americas.

ECLAC has been providing support to the Summit of the Americas process since its beginning in Miami in 1994. The technical support has included preparation of reports and statistical inputs with the distinctive feature of offering a regional comparative analysis that allows for an overall vision of Latin America and the Caribbean.
