This community of practice is an informal space for exchange among peers and sharing of good practices with regards to the implementation of the 2030 Agenda in general and the preparation of VNRs in particular; and aims to provide a space to regularly communicate with peers.

SESSION GOAL

This session featured a presentation by Dr. Najat Maalla M'jid (Morocco), Special Representative of the United Nations Secretary General on Violence against Children. The main goals of this meeting were: a) to review the protection of children against violence in the 2030 Agenda and the participation of children in the VNR processes; b) highlight the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on progress towards SDG 4 in the LAC region; c) reflect on inclusive and participatory processes for the meaningful participation of children and adolescents in the UN ECOSOC Youth Forum towards the HLPF; d) and exchange lessons learned on the inclusion of children and adolescents in the VNR processes and the 2030 Agenda among all the participants.
