Twenty-fourth session of the Committee of the Whole

The Twenty-fourth session of the Committee of the Whole was held 5 June 2007 at United Nations Headquarters in New York City. This Ad Hoc Committee allowed governments of its member states to meet between the official sessions of the Commission.

On this occasion, ECLAC Member States considered the request submitted by the Republic of Korea for admission as a Member State of the Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean.

Also at this meeting, ECLAC Executive Secretary José Luis Machinea presented a document prepared by ECLAC entitled " Social Cohesion: Inclusion and a sense of belonging in Latin America and the Caribbean".
