In September 2024, world leaders will convene at the United Nations in New York to forge a new international consensus on how we deliver a better present and safeguard the future.

This once-in-a-generation opportunity serves as a moment to mend eroded trust and demonstrate that international cooperation can effectively achieve agreed goals and tackle emerging threats and opportunities.

The annual Regional Forums on Sustainable Development convened earlier this year by the five UN Regional Commissions all featured sessions dedicated to the Summit of the Future.

These consultations captured voices from diverse experts across the regions around the five pillars of the Pact for the Future to be adopted at the Summit, which will include a Global Digital Compact and a Declaration on Future Generations.
