Towards a society for all ages: building solidarity and equity across generations
The side event entitled « Towards a society for all ages: building solidarity and equity across generations » is being organized by the Regional Commissions and the Permanent Mission of Chile during the Summit of the Future Action Days. The event will be held in-person on Saturday, 21 September 2024 from 09.30 to 11.00 a.m. EST in the Conference Room (40th floor) of the Permanent Mission of Chile, located at 885 2nd Avenue, New York.

This past February 8th 2024, Andres Valenciano, Chief of Washington Office, had the opportunity to participate on the "Remaking Trade For a Sustainable Future" event at Georgetown University Law Center. The event was organized by Center on Inclusive Trade and Development co-led by Jennifer Hillman and Katrin Kuhlmann.

Seminar on non-communicable diseases and their impact on sustainable development in the Caribbean
The overall objective of this seminar is to examine the confounding factor of COVID -19 in relation to NCDs and to highlight the contribution that an economic analytical approach to the problem of NCDs could make towards sustainably addressing the developmental challenges posed by these chronic diseases. The main expected output of the seminar is a set of proposed actions and recommendations for different stakeholders in sustainably addressing the challenges posed to Caribbean economies by NCDs.
