The ECLAC Caribbean knowledge management programme seeks to strengthen the capacity of the Caribbean sub-region to bridge the digital divide by furthering the establishment of the Caribbean Information Society and advancing the development of the region's knowledge economies. To achieve this objective workshops and meetings are organised, research conducted and advisory services delivered.

Training session on increasing access to technology for Persons with Disabilities
The training will help participants to better utilise Universal service funds (USFs) to increase access to technology for persons with disabilities thereby supporting governments in the subregion in advancing the implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities.

Exploring Innovation in Transactions & Financing in the Caribbean
The workshop is co-organized by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) in partnership with the Telecommunications Authority of Trinidad and Tobago (TATT) and the United Nations Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (UNECLAC). Its primary purpose is to provide Caribbean stakeholders from various sectors with interactive sessions along the theme of utilizing technology innovations towards the goal of improving financial transactions and financing arrangements.
Expert Group Meeting on “Knowledge Management in the Public Sector” and “Knowledge Strategies for Development: Knowledge Networks”
The purpose of the meeting was to analyse the concepts of “knowledge networks” and to show the impacts that the active support and maintenance of knowledge networks could have on development by promoting better relationship between governments, stakeholders, agencies and citizens.
