The Economic Development Unit of the ECLAC Subregional Headquarters in Mexico focuses its research activities on the macroeconomic analysis of ten countries: Costa Rica, Cuba, El Salvador, Guatemala, Haiti, Honduras, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, and the Dominican Republic. It produces studies and provides technical assistance on topics such as inflation, fiscal and monetary policy, savings, and employment, while also organizing expert meetings with government, academic, and business representatives. Additionally, it prepares economic evolution reports for each country, which are incorporated into ECLAC's regional publications, and maintains specialized statistical databases available on its website.
