Electronic resources of the ECLAC Library now accessible from home (and anywhere else) using EZProxy

6 May 2020|Briefing note

The ECLAC library is committed to ensuring access to a maximum range of services and information sources.

Previously, information resources which are subscribed to and paid for by the ECLAC Library, used to be accessible only from the ECLAC internal network or through VPN.

We are happy to announce this soft launch. As of today, you will be able to access the electronic resources of the Library from anywhere by simply logging into the EZProxy portal with the same credentials that you use to access the ECLAC network (Active Directory).

How to log in to EZProxy:

  • On a device not connected to ECLAC’s VPN (any laptop, tablet, or mobile phone)

  • Open a browser window (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Opera or Explorer)

  • Navigate to the website https://ezproxy.cepal.org

  • Use your Active Directory credentials to log in. (Active Directory credentials are the username and password which you use to log into your work computer and the ECLAC network).

  • You will then see a list of electronic information resources that ECLAC has a subscription for via IP address.

We take this opportunity to thank STIC and Web Services for their support in setting up this new service.

Please remember that the ECLAC Library staff provides assistance to any user seeking information and research support.

We also want to ensure that every ECLAC staff member in any location can access these e-resources. If you are having any issues, do let us know at biblioteca@cepal.org.
