The event “Interparliamentary Dialogue to Strengthen Climate Action and a Just Transition in Latin America and the Caribbean”, to happen on Nov 13th, is organized by the Parliamentary Observatory on Climate Change and Just Transition (OPCC) with the support of the CIPÓ Platform, at the UN Brazil Pavilion, Blue Zone at COP30 in Belém do Pará, and marks a decisive moment for legislative engagement in the regional climate agenda. The event celebrates the launch of the OPCC Joint Declaration for COP30, a collective call for a fairer climate future that consolidates the priorities and commitments of Latin American and Caribbean parliaments around just transition, productive sustainability, and the strengthening of democratic governance in the face of the climate crisis.

The session will bring together parliamentarians from across Latin America and the Caribbean in a dialogue focused on interparliamentary cooperation and the exchange of legislative experiences on sustainable development and regional integration. The meeting will reinforce the strategic role of parliaments in implementing international agreements, promoting ambitious climate policies, and defending an inclusive and sustainable development model for the region.
