The Committee to Support Implementation and Compliance (Committee) is a subsidiary body of the Conference of the Parties to the Escazú Agreement, to promote the implementation and support the Parties in the implementation of the Agreement.

According to the Rules relating to the Structure and Function of the Committee (COP Decision I/3) and its Working Modalities (LC/TS.2024/33), one of the functions of the Committee is to carry out periodic consultations and dialogues with the Parties, in an open, constructive and interactive manner on any matter related to the implementation and compliance of the Agreement, and for this purpose it may visit the territory of the Party with which it enters into dialogue.

The Committee will exercise this function with Panama, and for this purpose will visit the country from October 6 to 8, 2025, addressing the topics agreed upon between Panama and the Committee.

• Public participation prior the visit

To contribute to the Committee's preparation for the consultation and dialogue with Panama, the public is invited to submit input, documents, or relevant materials related to the topics of the visit. To do so, please use the form to attach input or documents by October 1, 2025, at 11:59 p.m. Chilean time.

You will also soon be able to participate by completing the public survey, in which you will have the opportunity to share your opinions, observations, and assessments on the topics of the visit.

During its visit to Panama, the Committee will hold an in-person participatory meeting with the public. Further details regarding the date, location, and registration will be published shortly.
