The Regional Agreement on Access to Information, Public Participation and Justice in Environmental Matters in Latin America and the Caribbean (Escazú Agreement), was adopted at Escazú, Costa Rica, on 4 March 2018.
Two years on from the adoption, the event will reiterate the region’s commitment with this historic Agreement and celebrate its relevance for a more just and sustainable development. Young Escazú Champions will also be presented, comprising a group of individuals committed with the Escazú Agreement that promote its awareness and early intro into force.
