Public consultation: Annotated Index of the Guide for the mainstreaming of the gender perspective in the implementation of the Escazú Agreement

Within the framework of Decision III/4 on “Gender Mainstreaming” of the COP3 of the Escazú Agreement, the Escazú Secretariat has initiated a public consultation of the Annotated Index for the Guide for Gender Mainstreaming in the Implementation of the Escazú Agreement.
This annotated index proposal, prepared by the Secretariat based on inputs received from the Parties and the public, links the structural roots of inequality with access rights and the role of women in environmental protection, with a specific focus on the reality of Latin America and the Caribbean. In addition, examples of specific measures for each right covered by the Agreement are presented, based on the findings of the first phase of consultation.
This public consultation will be carried out through an online survey available on the participatory platform of the Regional Public Mechanism of the Escazú Agreement
