Pandemic, isolation and statistics on security and justice

This is a side-event of Nineteenth meeting of the Executive Committee of the Statistical Conference of the Americas of ECLAC.  Organized by United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC)

Objective

This event aims to discuss the impact of the pandemic on the main crime indicators and criminal justice in the region. The panel will have an inter-institutional vision, deepening the measurement and analysis capacity of the police, the penitentiary system and national statistical offices in the face of the extraordinary situation caused by COVID-19 with a gender perspective.
