The importance of the economic census in the countries of Latin America, regarding the publication of the most recent economic census carried out in Mexico
The aim of this event is to share with the member countries of ECLAC the structural changes in the Mexican economy that the Economic Censuses allow to observe every five years, and which are the basis for updating all economic statistics, such as National Accounts, Economic Surveys National, Price Indices, and even the same Statistical Business Register. Thematic innovations included in this census will also be presented. Along with that, it is intended to account for the importance of Economic Censuses in the countries of the region, where administrative records generally do not have full coverage of the country's companies, nor constant and accurate updates.
