CELADE prosigue con sus actividades de capacitación en el análisis demográfico en Santiago, reiniciadas en 2012. Entre 1977 y 1999 se dictaron ininterrumpidamente estos cursos regionales intensivos de demografía que capacitaron a más de 500 profesionales de los gobiernos, las universidades y las organizaciones no gubernamentales de América Latina y el Caribe y un pequeño número de otras regiones.
