Workshop on the Preparation of Reports for the 10-Year Review of SAMOA Pathway

13 de dezembro de 2022|Evento

The workshop is being convened to discuss and agree on the steps towards the preparation of the national, regional and synthesis reports on the 10-year Review of the Implementation of the SAMOA Pathway.

In support of the regional and inter regional preparatory processes, the Regional Commissions serving SIDS are expected to lead the preparation of the regional reports. These reports will be guided from data and information obtained from national reports, data and other information received from Member States and Territories, UN-custodian agencies of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG), other UN agencies, civil society groups and other partners. As such, it is important that there is general agreement among the UN agencies and Member States and Territories responsible for the preparation of the reports on: the indicators to be assessed; the type of data required; the format and source of data; and the structure/outline of the national and regional reports. This workshop is being convened at the beginning of the preparatory process for the Fourth International Conference on SIDS to discuss and agree on a methodological approach that supports complementarity, where possible, among national and regional reports and resolve any concerns and queries regarding the preparation of the 10-year SAMOA Pathway implementation reports.
