The Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC) will launch on Monday, July 10, at 11 a.m. local time in Chile (UTC/GMT-4) the annual report entitled Foreign Direct Investment in Latin America and the Caribbean 2023, which provides an overview of the global and regional evolution of FDI and makes recommendations so that these flows can contribute to Latin American and Caribbean countries’ productive development processes. The economies of the subregion were hard hit by the COVID-19 pandemic, particularly those dependent on tourism.
