The second meeting of the Negotiating Committee will take place on 27 to 29 October 2015 in Panama City. The purpose of this meeting is to negotiate the substantive content of the regional instrument. The negotiations will focus on the preamble and articles 1 to 10 of the preliminary document prepared by ECLAC at the request of countries, using as a basis the text compiled by the Presiding Officers, which includes the language proposals sent by countries by 31 August 2015.…

La segunda reunión del Comité de Negociación tuvo lugar del 27 al 29 de octubre de 2015 en la Ciudad de Panamá. El objeto de esta reunión fue negociar aspectos sustantivos del instrumento regional. The recommendations of Peru's Environmental Performance Review, undertaken jointly by the Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC) and the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), will be presented on 31 May 2016 at the headquarters of Ministry of the Environment of Peru.
It is first time the country goes through this peer review in which the environmental policies and programmes are analized with a view to identify good practices and challenges and propose recommendations.

El 31 de mayo de 2016 tendrá lugar en la sede del Ministerio del Ambiente del Perú la presentación de las recomendaciones de la Evaluación de Desempeño Ambiental del Perú realizada conjuntamente por la Comisión Económica para América Latina y el Caribe (CEPAL) y por la Organización para la Cooperación y Desarrollo Económicos (OCDE).
Se trata de la primera vez que el país se somete a esta evaluación entre pares en la que se analizan las políticas y programas ambientales con el fin de identificar buenas prácticas y desafíos y elaborar recomendaciones.
