At a virtual side event prior to the second meeting of the signatory countries to the Agreement, young people debated about how to support the ratification and implementation of the region’s first environmental treaty.
The third meeting of the gathering was inaugurated today at ECLAC’s headquarters in Santiago, Chile, with the presence of representatives from all the region’s countries.
"Speak out. Participate. Reach out to understand and listen to those who may be weaker or more vulnerable than you. We all have an equal stake in our shared future", says the UN Secretary-General, Ban Ki-moon.
