ECLAC trains over 100 Argentinian public officials in disaster assessment
Over one hundred Argentinian public officials acquired new technical skills in the use and application of the Damage and Loss Assessment (DaLA) methodology, as the Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC) subregional headquarters for the Caribbean carried out two workshops from 7-10 May 2018.

ECLAC Caribbean sets out to build the capacity of public officials in Argentina to conduct disaster assessments, determine their own recovery and reconstruction path in the aftermath of disasters, and incorporate measures to reduce vulnerability and increase resilience.
