Network Objectives

The objective of the Network is to promote the creation of Commissions for the Future or ad hoc groups in Latin American and Caribbean countries to ensure that parliaments integrate and implement anticipatory governance into their legislative work. This will better prepare them for the rapid political, economic, social, and technological changes currently taking place. We also support parliaments with training tools, technical assistance, and prospective research.

Current Projects

Following the Second Regional Conference of Parliamentary Future Commissions in June 2025, we are working on creating new courses regarding: the politics of aging populations; the parliamentary use of artificial intelligence; and anticipated climate change laws. This is in addition to the quarterly newsletters and in-person and remote meetings that we organize.
