This course is a collaborative product developed within the framework of the Network of Parliamentary Future Commissions. It is primarily aimed at parliamentarians in the region and their technical teams, although it is also open to other professionals interested in foresight, future studies, and the role of anticipation in decision-making for public policy formulation.

Population Aging

The growing proportion of elderly people in Latin America and the Caribbean represents one of the most significant demographic phenomena of the 21st century. This transformation requires robust public policies that promote inclusion, social protection, and respect for the human rights of older people. The main objective of the course is to promote the importance of anticipatory governance and legislative foresight in the parliaments of Latin America and the Caribbean, particularly in relation to public policies to address population aging and improve the living conditions of older persons.

A course designed to better understand the role of Artificial Intelligence in Latin American parliaments and Future Commissions. The rapid spread of Artificial Intelligence globally has shown how new technologies can quickly change society. In the face of these technological changes, anticipatory governance is essential to reap the rewards of technology while avoiding the potentially negative consequences of these changes.
