On the occasion of the 6th Annual Multi-stakeholder Forum on Science Technology and Innovation for the Sustainable Development Goals, the Permanent Mission of Chile to the United Nations, the Permanent Mission of Portugal to the United Nations, the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), the United Nations Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC), the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia (ESCWA), the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), the United Nations Office for Outer Space Affairs (UNOOSA), the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) and the World Food Programme (WFP) have the pleasure to invite you to a virtual side event on Gender Equality in Science, Technology and Innovation: Towards an Inclusive STI Ecosystem.

This event will bring together government representatives, academia, civil society, young people and international organizations to showcase select national experiences/ initiatives from different regions in support of the equal participation of women in STI; and to shed light on the importance of forging enabling and inclusive environments to retain female talents in STI careers.
