ECLAC hosts art and craft exhibition
In an effort to bring life to the discussions and conclusions of a recent study on the art and craft sector completed by the Economic Commission for Latin and America and the Caribbean (ECLAC), the organization is hosting an art and craft exhibition from 25-27 October 2017, in collaboration with Trinidad and Tobago’s Central Handicraft Association of Artisans and Talented Traders (CHATT).

Strengthening synergies between the tourism and art and craft sectors is one of the keys to bolstering incomes from Caribbean tourists, while supporting local artisans.This was one of the observations made at an expert group meeting held on 26 July 2017 at the Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean’s (ECLAC) subregional headquarters for the Caribbean in Port of Spain.
