Care society

América Latina y el Caribe se caracteriza por ser una región con una desigualdad estructural, profundizada con la llegada de la pandemia de COVID-19. Para revertirla, desde la CEPAL se propone transitar hacia la sociedad del cuidado como horizonte y camino para una recuperación transformadora, sostenible y con igualdad. La sociedad del cuidado pone en el centro el principio feminista de sostenibilidad de la vida y reconoce la interdependencia entre las personas, la dimensión ambiental y el desarrollo económico y social en forma sinérgica. Incluye el autocuidado, el cuidado de las personas, de quienes cuidan y del planeta.
