Complete Version of the Preliminary Overview of the Economies of Latin America and the Caribbean 2014 Is Now Available Online

The ECLAC report, which was launched on 2 December, includes economic fact sheets of the region’s countries.

The Preliminary Overview of the Economies of Latin America and the Caribbean 2014,  one of the most important annual publications of ECLAC, is already available in its complete version as from today in the Commission’s website.

The document was originally launched last 2 December in a press conference headed by ECLAC’s Executive Secretary, Alicia Bárcena, and includes the complete chapters as well as the economic fact sheets of each one of the region’s countries analyzed in the study.

In the Preliminay Overview ECLAC examined the overall performance of the region’s economies in 2014 and presented its economic growth forecasts for 2015. According to the study, economic growth in Latin America and the Caribbean will recover next year and reach 2.2% on average, while in 2014, average regional growth was just 1.1%, marking the smallest expansion since 2009.
