The Executive Secretary of the Central American Agricultural Council (SE-CAC) organized a parallel event for the presentation of the study entitled "Analysis of Agricultural Vulnerability to Climate Change in the SICA region" in the Pavilion of Central American Integration System (SICA) from El Salvador for 2023 United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP28) on December 11, 2023.

The 8th Meeting of Experts of the Community of Practice on Agricultural Insurance in Central America and the Dominican Republic took place in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic on September 28th and 29th of 2023 and was organized and developed by the Economic Commission of Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC) in coordination with the Executive Secretary of the Central American Council (SECAC) with the support of General Director´s Office of Agricultural Risk of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Dominican Republic. The meeting was carried out in person with virtual means during the two days scheduled for the event.

The Executive Secretariat of the Council of Ministers of Treasury or Finance of Central America, Panama and the Dominican Republic (SECOSEFIN), officials from the member countries of the Council of Ministers of Treasury or Finance of Central America, Panama and the Dominican Republic (COSEFIN/SICA) and from the Subregional Headquarters of the Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC) in Mexico met virtually on May 5 of this year to review a proposal to extend the implementation of the project “Disaster risk reduction and sustainable and inclusive adaptation to climate change in public investment” (RIDASICC) to 2023 and a proposal to the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC), requesting the extension.
