According to Decision III/4 on “Mainstreaming the gender perspective” of COP3 of the Escazú Agreement, the Secretariat has prepared a complete version of the Guide following a process of research and systematisation of the results of previous consultations and workshops held at the Forum on Human Rights Defenders in Environmental Matters.

 

Consulta final de la propuesta de Guía para la transversalización de la perspectiva de género

This latest consultation seeks to gather final comments and suggestions for specific adjustments from States Parties, international organisations, and the general public.

The consultation begins today, November 25, 2025, International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, which aims to denounce violence against women around the world and call for policies in all countries to eradicate it, and will run until January 26, 2026.

This consultation will be conducted through an online questionnaire, available on the participatory platform of the Regional Public Mechanism of the Escazú Agreement.
