ECLAC participates in 5th Council of Ministers on Environmental Sustainability of the Organisation of Eastern Caribbean States

The 5th Council of Ministers on Environmental Sustainability and the associated meeting of Senior Technical Officers of the Organisation of Eastern Caribbean States (OECS) were held in Brades, Montserrat on 10 and 11 July 2018 under the theme "Building Resilience on the Frontlines of Climate Change.”

The 5th Council of Ministers on Environmental Sustainability and the associated meeting of Senior Technical Officers were held in Brades, Montserrat on 10 and 11 July 2018 under the theme "Building Resilience on the Frontlines of Climate Change.” 

The ministers and representatives from the OECS Member States discussed climate risks and responses, integrated approaches to building resilience, leveraging sustainable economic opportunities, advancing climate resilience and aligning the OECS Environment Agenda.

In its capacity as technical secretariat, ECLAC presented the Regional Agreement on Access to Information, Public Participation and Access to Justice in Environmental Matters in Latin America and the Caribbean to the ministers and key stakeholders and participated in the Springboard of Developmental Partners "Promoting Partnerships towards a Climate Resilient Region."
