Briefing note
This article briefly describes the results of a broader investigation sponsored by ECLAC on the financial inclusion of SMEs in Colombia. The topic is developed in three sections: The indicators of SME credit access, derived primarily from the results of the Anif survey of SMEs; An examination into the relationship of SMEs’ use of credit and their productive development; And finally, some basic strategies are presented for the revision of SME financial inclusion policy in the country, based on the scope of ECLAC’s work.
