Government authorities, international officials and representatives of civil society commemorated International Women’s Day at the regional gathering that is taking place in Costa Rica.
Representatives of citizen organizations held a meeting in the framework of the Forum of the Countries of Latin America and the Caribbean on Sustainable Development, taking place at ECLAC.
Alicia Bárcena, Executive Secretary of the organization, presented the outlook for the subregion during an event held in New York in the framework of the United Nations High-Level Political Forum.
ECLAC’s Executive Secretary participated in an event entitled Commitments and Roadmap Towards a 50-50 Planet by 2030, which was held on the sidelines of the first meeting of the Forum of the Countries of Latin America and the Caribbean on Sustainable Development.
