The XVII Meeting of the Regional Council for Planning concluded today in Montevideo, Uruguay with a call to strengthen the practice of planning in Latin America and the Caribbean.
Representatives of 16 Latin American and Caribbean countries participated in the twenty-seventh meeting of the Presiding Officers of the Regional Council for Planning held in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic.
The intergovernmental meeting called for the promotion of a new culture of integration and a long-term vision aimed at structural change with equality.
The Brazilian Minister for Planning, Miriam Belchior, and the Executive Secretary of ECLAC, Alicia Bárcena, opened the meeting being held on 21 and 22 November.
