Este capítulo analiza las brechas económicas en Haití, para identificar las brechas estructurales dentro de la economía haitiana (brechas verticales) y respecto a países de la subregión (Centroamérica y Caribe) y fuera de ella (brechas horizontales). La investigación se realizó en dos etapas: en un primer momento se construyó una matriz de insumo producto (MIP) para Haití, y en una segunda etapa, se elaboró una MIP regional que incorpora la economía de Haití.
