Ministers and Experts Will Debate on Time-Use Statistics

Ministers and authorities for Women of Latin American and the Caribbean and specialists will debate on 29
and 30 November at ECLAC headquarters on how men and women distribute their time between
paid labour and household duties. The seminar will take place as part of the Forty-sixth meeting of the

Although the countries of the Caribbean contribute less than 1% of global greenhouse gas emissions, they
will be among the first to suffer the consequences of climate change. If adaptation strategies are not
adopted, the economic loss could reach 5% of annual GDP.
