Program to Strengthen Trade Related Capacities in the Americas

In response to the identified needs documented in the National Strategies for various countries, ECLAC has created a variety of individualized cooperation activities in different areas. They include capacity building and the production of reports and specific evaluations. The ECLAC works with its own experts and experts of other UN agencies, academic institutes, organizations with specific knowledge and cooperating countries to implement the cooperation activities.

The activities of this cooperation project are divided into two phases. The first phase is executed between 2005 and the beginning of 2006. The second phase will be executed between 2006 and 2007. In the second phase of the project the relevant activities and products were identified according to the dynamics of the negotiations and the economic integration in the countries.
