"Technical Meeting on the Socialization Process and Public Consultation with Colombian Ethnic Minorities within the Framework of Commercial Negotiation"

Bogota, Colombia, May 5, 2006

The Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC), with the financial support of the Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA/ACDI), in collaboration with the Colombia Ministry of Commerce and Tourism, organized this technical meeting in Bogota, Colombia, on 5 May , 2006.

The goal of the meeting was to present the study prepared by Esther Sanchez Botero, project consultant, titled "The Socialization Process and Public Consultation with Colombian Ethnic Minorities within the Framework of Trade Negotiations". The meeting counted with 22 participants including Government officials and members of academia, as well as from various Colombian ethnic minorities.
