Official and Latin America and the Caribbean proposed MDG's targets and indicators for MDG1

Official MDG targets and indicators list published by the United Nations jointly with proposed MDG's targets and indicators proposed for Latin America and the Caribbean countries. These indicators have been suggested by ECLAC to measure the progress towards the Millennium Development Goals, from a regional perspective. Some of them are used as proxy of the official indicators, when there is no available data for the countries. Others were adapted to shed light on the specific needs of the region.

Additionally you will find here some official indicators that were eliminated or modified at the last revision of the MDG monitoring framework.

For monitoring country poverty trends, indicators based on national poverty lines should be used, where available.
