Briefing note
The ECLAC Library has added the recordings of the master class to the digital and openly accessible multimedia collection of the Repository. In the lecture, Dr. Prebisch develops the concept of center-periphery and its implications for the economic and political relations of Latin America and the Caribbean within the international system. Prebisch presents his argument from the Latin American perspective, with particular emphasis on the region's challenges around social welfare, income distribution, productivity and industrialization, among other topics.
The Library appreciates the input and collaboration of the Nordic Institute of Latin American Studies of Stockholm University, and in particular its Director Dr. Andrés Rivarola Puntigliano, who made it possible to have this valuable material be a part of the ECLAC digital repository.
